Rise from your grave.

 And yet I live. . .

Lost control of this blog for an absolute age, then forgot it existed. Only when looking around on the main channel did I come across where it was hidden.

Was going to post either Rise from your grave or Phuture will survive. But came across something unexpected. Phuture live at Glasto back in 2015.

About the only time I've given the merest fuck about Glasto TBH.

Aphex Twin Cheetah and a Dance with the Ratpack.

Aphex Twin Cheetah EP is out now, based on a cheapo brand drum machine from Joystick manufacturer Cheetah.  its not half bad and a pro tip try and snag the file or cd versions of this as they have all the tracks, the vinyl version is missing one. Have a listen to CIRKLON3 (Russian track) and yeah there is a kid directing in this one.  Which is cool.

Also really digging a really old Ratpack track on a white label called Ooh ooh ahh ahh.

Made in about 1990 and sampling Blondie Heart Of Glass, its an excellent example from when hardcore wasn't fully formed from house and breakbeat yet. Its all the more best for this as it sounds like 3 different styles.

R.I.P Andreas Gehm

Sad to say this but one of my heroes has died. Andreas Gehm better known as Elec.PT1 was one of the best new area acid producers, Acid Coloniae on Bunker is probably what I know him best for although he did record under a few names such as the Minister and Trajical Bitch.
I won't comment further but will put up a link to another of his aliases Pukemaster Gehm.  Also lets hope it won't be near on a whole year before updates.

Kimberly Anne Show Me Love Acapella

Been meaning to add a link to this as the resulting track from this is rather rancid in its execution.  Sam Feldt Show Me Love is a pretty sad EDM based updating of the Robin S(tones) classic house track (or rather the Stonebridge edit of this) of  the same name.  Its vile, its nasty and really only suitable for kids parties, where as the original acapella of this is actually quite nice indeed.   Its sort of sounds like old Portishead with a bit of Massive Attack thrown in (and I'd actually physically kill for a Mad Professor dub of this), not at all cheesy or trite.

Hear it here.

Legowelt Podcast for Creme

Been listening to this on my phone and yes you thought this place was dead.  Few good bits there that I can place a re edit of Kate Bush, some Snap that doesn't suck and the bonus beats from Deeelites Groove is in the Heart.  Along with a shed load of acid and house but no track list apart from what I've cobbled together above.

Listen Here.

New Aphex Stuff

Got Computer Controlled Instruments PT 2 yesterday and can safely say its a nice return to form with some strange avant garde rhythms being doled out by whatever computer controlled monstrosity is pimping on the strings.

He's also got a new Soundcloud account and its jammed full of weird releases, so if you aren't aware of it by now, you can, thanks to Richard Devine, listen to the whole damned lot collated into one handy file. See below.

User487363530 Mega Pack. 430MB rar file.
Unpacks to 110 tracks with 24 pieces of artwork.

Aphex Twin Interview. Pts 1+2

If you were ever disappointed by the recent Syro album released on Warp then these two interviews make up for it big time.  Oh and check out some of those sound cloud recordings on the page as they are well lush.
